Editing CHOICE Fields

The following editing operations may be performed on a value of type CHOICE:

• Selected alternative element can be changed

Changing the CHOICE Alternative Element

When a CHOICE element is selected, a dropdown box appears in the edit window allowing you to select any of the CHOICE alternative values:

A new alternative element is selected by selecting its name from the dropdown box and clicking Update. This will cause a new empty element of the selected type to be inserted in the tree in place of the current element. All data in the current element is lost, even if it is reselected after chaning the element to a different alternative.
