Undo/Redo, Cut/Copy/Paste, Overstrike Commands

The Undo/Redo, Cut/Copy/Paste, and Overstrike commands may be used when entering hex data directly in the Hex Edit window. This can be enabled by entering the File -> New Message -> Hex Message command to create a new binary message from scratch or if the byte values of an existing message are edited directly.

Use Undo or Redo to undo/redo the last delete operation that was perofrmed in the hex edit window.

Copy, Cut, and Paste can be used to transfer information from the clipboard into the Hex View region. Paste is a convenient way to transfer external data into the editor (for example, a snippet from a log file).

Overwrite is used to toggle the edit mode in the window from Insert to Overwrite mode. Insert is the default mode.
