Closing a Message and Exiting the Program

The currently open message can be closed by using the Close Message command.

1. Click the File option from the File Operations toolbar.

2. Select the Close Message option to close the message. Alternately, the control-X hot key may be used.

This will cause the current message being displayed and all associated schemas to be closed. If the contents of the message were modified, the user will be prompted to save the modified message.

If a BER/DER/CER message is being edited and schemas are assigned, the schemas can be removed by selecting the Close ASN.1 option.

The ASN1VE program can be exited by using the Exit command or control-Q hot key. As was the case for the Close Message command, if the contents of the currently displayed message were modified, the user will be prompted to save the modified message prior to exit.
